Meet Our Teachers!
Country Kids is a state licensed center with a current Level 1 status for Paths to Quality and is pursuing level 2. All staff members have been FBI fingerprinted, DCS background checked, and drug tested. We require them to be certified annually with First Aid, CPR, Child Abuse & Neglect, and Universal Precaution trainings. They are also required to have 12 training hours annually for continuing their education.
Ashley Ferguson
Ashley has been owner/director for Country Kids since 2013. Prior to working at Country Kids Pre-School & Childcare she was the director of Kid City Academy in Franklin from 2009-2012, Toddler teacher 2008-2009, Teacher Assistant at Jennings County School Systems from 2007-2009. She graduated from Bellarmine University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with emphasis on Education and Psychology. She has five children of her own and is very active in community organizations. She has coached T-Ball for three years and hopes to pursue her coaching at a high level when her children are grown. She loves working with children and seeing the looks on their faces when they begin making connections with new knowledge. She feels very blessed to get the opportunity to work with the children and families to have a safe and educational center. Keli Ankney Keli has been with Country Kids since March 2013 and became the assistant in 2014. She ran an at home child care business for 12 years and has 4 children of her own and enjoys making memories with them. She truly loves coming to work every day and making sure every child is loved just like her own. Stacey Cavaletto Stacey has been with Country Kids since 2013. She started babysitting at the age of 9 and has experience working with kids who have a disability. She previously was a stay at home mom to her 3 kiddos. She enjoys sports, music and spending time with friends and family. She loves working at Country Kids because these kids are almost as crazy as she is! |
Alyssa Douglas
Ms. Alyssa is the lead teacher in the toddler room. She has 3 children of her own and enjoys going on walks with them. She hopes one day to travel to Germany. Her favorite part of her job is watching the children grow and seeing the daily changes infants make. Courtney Mathis Ms. Courtney is our lead teacher in the pre-k room. She has a 3 year old son that she loves spending time with. Having a 3 year old of her own gives her great insight to our pre-k classes. Courtney enjoys teaching the children new items and loves to see their reactions when they are learning. Carol Hicks Ms. Carol is the cook at Country Kids, she's in charge of keeping us healthy. She loves spending time with her grandchildren and her husband. Ms. Carol has a huge heart and enjoys taking care of people. Watching the children grow and learn is her favorite part of the day. Maygen Pierce Maygen is the lead teacher in the infant room. She enjoys scrap booking and playing sports. Some day she would like to learn how to play guitar. Ms. Maygen loves interacting with the kids and seeing them learn new things. |
